De pronto se despereza violentamente, se reviste de llamas, desciende como lluvia de fuego hasta el monte. De espaldas a su siervo, le ordena descalzarse. Su voz enfebrece, arremolina, retuerce con ira inextinguible la zarza que lo expresa. Obliga al siervo a sacudir la esclavitud de su pueblo, a conducirlo a los manantiales de miel y leche y le entrega un cayado.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 El emisario se presenta ante el poderoso, pide sacar a las arenas a su pueblo para festejar al dios de sus padres. El Hijo del Sol hace o\u00eddos sordos a sus s\u00faplicas. Entonces, la vieja bestia de los cielos confiere encantamientos a su siervo y lo empuja, con rabia espumeante, contra el palacio del opresor, desmayado sobre telas preciosas, entre los brazos de sus hetairas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mientras racionalismos axiales se mezclan con licores exquisitos en los paladares de los pr\u00edncipes, cortesanos y magos, la ira del que habita la altura, roja como una herida abierta, se desborda en diez torrentes, se precipita en diez venganzas, contra el presente fabuloso del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 En las salas hip\u00f3stilas, las humaredas de los pebeteros semejan fastuosos esp\u00edritus aventando la flor de los agr\u00f3stides. No se deja de hablar de talismanes, de severas aritm\u00e9ticas, de reprimir toda innovaci\u00f3n. Fuera, bajo el fuego lustral, se ejecuta en el fango.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cuando el enviado arroja su bast\u00f3n frente a los p\u00e9treos leones, una sierpe se desliza hacia el pavoroso enemigo. El pavimento de granito se torna inseguro, y el \u00e1mbito deviene silenciosa mastaba. Una brisa premonitoria refresca el rostro de los oprimidos; en viento huracanado, arranca los flagelos de las fieras manos de los capataces. Pero cuando los sacerdotes consiguen de igual modo, con sus f\u00f3rmulas m\u00e1gicas, que sus bastones repten, el Uraeus real se regocija en su hieratismo, y los magnates, dando la espalda con indiferencia a la funci\u00f3n, retoman sus teor\u00edas astron\u00f3micas y de geometr\u00eda, sus n\u00fameros, las cinturas desnudas de sus bailarinas y coperos, brillantes y escurridizas por el ung\u00fcento de malobrato.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Deslumbrantes como un <em>klaft<\/em>, las esplendorosas cobras sacerdotales cercan a la del enviado, pero esta, de s\u00fabito, se abalanza como rayo, como mar proceloso y las engulle. Su segundo libro, Cacer\u00eda, escrito en 1973, ve la luz diez a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde; un experimento formal de ritmos y sonidos a la sombra de G\u00f3ngora. Ese mismo a\u00f1o, publica\u00a0<em>Tr\u00edptico del Tiempo, la Belleza y la Muerte<\/em>, escrito entre 1974 y 1976, donde la cultura cl\u00e1sica griega, que al poeta le corresponde por su ascendencia materna, y sus lecturas de los parnasianos y simbolistas franceses, de sus estancias en Par\u00eds en estos a\u00f1os, marcan el poemario. Columnata aparece en 1990; cuatro largas odas escritas entre sus dos anteriores libros, en alejandrinos \u201cmuy antiguos y muy modernos\u201d, parafraseando a Dar\u00edo. Y, finalmente, Amuatar, escrito entre 1977 y 1980 y publicado en 1992, el ser alquimista, agn\u00f3stico, m\u00edstico, el andr\u00f3gino que afirma la uni\u00f3n de los contrarios y el misterio de la totalidad del ser, y todo ello tambi\u00e9n en bellos alejandrinos sobrecargados de im\u00e1genes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pedro Gand\u00eda es un esteta que gusta de rescribir durante muchos a\u00f1os sus obras antes de darlas a la imprenta, y as\u00ed lo testifica este poemario en prosa que nos ocupa, Bajo una luz antigua, escrito entre 1973 y 1976. La entrega consta de cuatro textos marcadamente aleg\u00f3ricos donde se nos revelan las claves de su universo po\u00e9tico. En el primero, &lt;&lt;Sin conocer tu nombre o El \u00e1ngel m\u00e1s hermoso&gt;&gt;, un ser adolescente de belleza andr\u00f3gina se constituye en objeto poem\u00e1tico. Cr\u00f3nica sentimental y fr\u00eda de una historia amorosa conclusa es el segundo texto, Poema de un amor que pas\u00f3 con las nubes&#8230; El tercero, De la sierpe que enciende el v\u00e9spero del espejo, configura una recurrencia obsesiva de este poeta: el juego del espejo desde la m\u00edstica de la nada. El libro se cierra con el texto que da t\u00edtulo al conjunto, Bajo una luz antigua, una recreaci\u00f3n de lecturas b\u00edblicas en tono decadente y en aras de una est\u00e9tica del mal.
